Paolo Baldini, born in Pordenone in 1975, emerged as a key figure in the Italian reggae scene with his band B.R. Stylers, known for their electronic sound and British influences. In 2006, he joined the renowned Italian reggae band Africa Unite as a bassist and co-producer, contributing to albums like "Controlli" and "Rootz." He launched his solo project, Paolo Baldini DubFiles, in 2014, debuting with a self-titled album and later recording "At Song Embassy Papine Kingston 6" in Jamaica in 2015, collaborating with various local artists. From 2018 to 2019, Baldini produced multiple albums, including "To the Foundation" and "Large" for Mellow Mood, all released under his label La Tempesta Dub. His upcoming album, "In The Shell," set for release on March 27, 2024, will be his third solo album and features a blend of ethnic sounds and samples he recorded during his travels in Africa, showcasing his unique electronic production style.
